There will be a Quiz on Tuesday. This will be on decimal multiplication and estimating. Students should be reviewing their multiplication facts regularly.

Welcome back!

It was a nice long break for everyone, and this past week we spent time reviewing decimals and looking ahead to where we are going in math this term. Students wrote an assessment on the upcoming concepts, as a way for me to see what they already know, and where we need to do more work.

There was a homework sheet given for last week, it is due Monday. I am giving out homework once a week, usually Monday or Tuesday, and making it due the next Monday. I do NOT want students turning in their homework, but rather keeping it in their duo tang. I will be checking this weekly or bi-weekly.

It is up to the student to make sure it is in their math duo tang in order to receive their mark.

We are reviewing multiplication this week, and introducing decimal multiplication.

Students were given back two quizzes today. They are to return them signed and corrected by Mon, Dec 20th. If they do not do this, it will result in a detention.

We are continuing this week with dividing decimals by 10, 100 and 1000. Students will have to know this for Friday's Quiz. There are several homework sheets due Friday instead of Thursday.

Students were given worksheets on multiplying decimals by 10, 100 and 1000 today in class. Many students are struggling with this concept. Please look over your child's work this week. The worksheets are due Friday, and there will be a QUIZ on this Friday.
