Students were given back two quizzes today. They are to return them signed and corrected by Mon, Dec 20th. If they do not do this, it will result in a detention.

We are continuing this week with dividing decimals by 10, 100 and 1000. Students will have to know this for Friday's Quiz. There are several homework sheets due Friday instead of Thursday.

Students were given worksheets on multiplying decimals by 10, 100 and 1000 today in class. Many students are struggling with this concept. Please look over your child's work this week. The worksheets are due Friday, and there will be a QUIZ on this Friday.

I enjoyed getting to meet many of you at Parent-Teacher interviews these past two days. We are starting Unit 3 this week, Decimals. I will be posting on a regular basis on this blog.

Hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend.

We are working on arthropods. The students are to complete two drawings of two different arthropods and color and label them. They should all have rough drafts of the assignment well underway. The assignment is also written up in their notebooks. Remember grade six...detailed, neat work! See you tomorrow.

Students will be doing review today and Thursday. Friday will be the Unit test. Topics covered include; number patterns, equations with or without variables, and ordered pairs. It sounds much harder than it is :)

Students should also be reviewing their math facts, as this helps them succeed in math and feel confident.

We have started Ordered Pairs and the Coordinate Plane today. Students will have a homework sheet on Thursday to do for Monday.

We will have a QUIZ on Tuesday. Students should be able to identify number patterns and find the missing numbers in equations.

Students will be given a review sheet on Monday to study from.
